About Me

My name is michael, married and a father of 4 kids. I come from a place called Nguku in Muranga county. I was born in a family of nine whereby I was the first born. My parents practiced farming which is small scale farming. We had coffee as a cash crop but it then lost value which made life so hard for our family. The land was so small and therefore the life was from hand to mouth. All in all we were able to get some formal education upto form four and that was it. That is when i decided I will continue with the small scale farming for a living . I do vegetable farming in the small inheritance farm, rear some kienyeji chicken and have two cows for dairy farming. I would wish that my life changes for the better and my kids get better education than myself

My Business

I do small scale farming dealing with vegetables, chicken and dairy farming in a small farm. On the farm I have a well in support of a seasonal river which helps me in doing irrigation on my vegetables and offer water for my animals. The vegetables I sell to the market during market days. This brings me an average of 2 dollars per day. I also sell eggs from my chicken an average of 1 dollar per day. The milk I get from the cows sells at an average of 3 dollars per day.Apart from the income the farm assists me in feeding my family and assist my aging parents.

Loan Proposal

I am planning to buy a wheel barrow with my next loan. This will be used in carrying manure from the sheds n also carry farm produce from the farm. I wish to ease my work as possible and believe zidisha will grow with me. This will increase my sales and enable me improve the live of my family

Thanks a lot zidisha for believing in me once more. I am going to build a cattle shed, buy seedlings and plant. I know this money will help me since production of milk will increase and thus income.
