About Me

I am Raphael.

I was born and raised in the rural life of Gatundu District.

Ours is a coffee zone and the disappointments from the little or no earnings we received from this plant made me hate to suffer as a coffee grower.

I went to primary school level and after class 8 I could not proceed with high school due to lack of funds - Ours was a humble family living from hand to mouth.

I started growing vegetables for sale and I saved enough to buy a goat.
Due to unreliable rain, I could not continue to grow vegetables, so I continued to rear the goat.

My Business

My business involves rearing the goat, and once its mature, and have given birth, I sell the mother.

I rear the kids and the cycle repeats. I would also keep a goat for our family and give them for Christmas.

I chose this business because it gives me a good profit to better my life.
One goat coast USD 90.

I am still single and the profit I get is to better my life. I have already built myself a residential room and bought furniture for it.

I want to grow this business by adding another goat to increase livestock for sale.

Loan Proposal

With this loan I shall buy a
- One mature goat @ 90USD and
- Two kid goats @45USD each.

The balance I will use it to buy feeds and pay for veterinary services.

I shall sell the goats when they mature and use part of the proceeds to live on.

    With New Year I choose to rear the goat first...
    My first few instalments will be small but I will resume higher payments and clear loan on or before the initially scheduled time.

    I intend to buy a mature goat and two kid goats.

    This will increase my livestock and I will be able to have green manure for farming as well as sell the kid goats when they mature and I get income.

    Dear Lenders,

    I am so excited to complete repayment of my first loan.

    My goat is growing and is pregnant. Next year I will have a kid goat.
