About Me
My name is Daniel. I live in Mombasa city having relocated here two years ago. I was born in central Kenya where I attended my primary and secondary school education. I then joined my brother who does business in Mombasa.
During my stay in Mombasa, I enrolled for a short course in computer applications where I learned a number of standard computer packages. I later did a course in video editing which later helped me a lot when I opened a studio slightly over a year ago.
My Business
After completing my course, m,y brother helped with some finances to start up a small studio where I do video editing work for my clients. The work entails working on raw video to an output that a client desires - usually in form of DVDs.
It is a fairly new business but through hard work, I have gained a number of clients. I want to build on this success to grow the business even bigger in the years to come. I am currently making about $150 per month after all the expenses are paid. This is the money that I use for my upkeep. I am hoping that this amount will keep growing with time.
Loan Proposal
With my second loan, I plan to buy a set of multi-media speakers for my workstation. I am currently using headphones for sound playback but it would be more convenient if I use speakers so that my clients can also hear the sound.
This set will cost USD30 and I will top up the difference with the profits that I have made from my previous work.
