About Me

My name is Perry Wanjiku Mwangi. I am married with five children, namely Victor, Eddy, Carol, Joyce and Consolator. I reside in Kinamba location. I successfully completed my O-level, having undertaken p1 teaching career at Kericho Teachers Training College.

I retired from teaching in the year 2007. I used some of my retirement benefit to open a business dealing with farm products, including vegetables, fruit and chicken eggs.

My hobbies are visiting the needy in the community, socializing, and being updated with new technology.

I started the business in order to maintain my family with basic needs. My husband was involved in a road accident 2 years ago, whereby ever since he uses the wheelchair, making me the breadwinner.

I want to expand the business, thus I kindly request the Zidisha members to support my business through their loan.

My Business

My business is based in Njambini Kinamba location and it involves selling of farm products like vegetables, fruit and chicken eggs. I started the business one year ago. I want to expand the business, but due to limited resource I can't expand. I want to expand the business by buying a bicycle for better transportation. I have hired a young man to be transporting, thus this will enable reach more customers who need our services hence making more profit.

My monthly sales are ksh 40,000, average sales expenses are ksh 30,000, and average profit is ksh 10,000. I will use the profit to expand the business and repay the loan, hence there will be no pressure on my business, thus I will be in a position to grow.

Loan Proposal

My business has grown extensively over the past months, thanks to the Zidisha Lenders funding. I have been able to supply eggs to various restaurants and schools around my farming area. Am seeking funds now to venture in hatching chicks and selling them to individual, farmers and also growers. Farmers near my farm have been interested with my flock of chicken and thought it is really a good investment. This has given me a great idea where I will hatch eggs and after 21 days, sell them as chicks.

I have been having small problems with my business, my birds were recently affected by a disease that killed quite a number of them. Am hoping to purchase more birds soon, but before I get back to the right state, am requesting I reduce my payment amount.
    Thanks.

    Dear Team.
Thank you for your continued support. My business has been doing well and am glad I have been able to repay the loan on time. I was able to satisfy my customers with enough eggs, as the demand was high. I now want to look for market outside my village i.e in city center where I can supply eggs to hotels and institutions. So far, I have established few learning institutions and am in the process of securing a chance to be their supplier. My next loan will help me in expanding my business so I can meet the growing demand.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
    Regards

    Dear Lenders,
Am grateful the past loan helped my business grow. I was able to buy a bicycle for use in transporting the eggs from farmers to the market. Since the egg business is doing well and the demand has gone up, I now want to invest in rearing my own chicken so as I can be able to meet the demand of my customers. The next loan will help in that.
