About Me

I am the third born in a family of six. I went to a girls boarding primary school and later went to secondary school where i passed and was selected to join Egerton University - Njoro Campus where i graduated with a BSc. Natural Resources Management. Due to my large family i mainly got by using bursaries and loan from the Higher Education Loans Board. 4 years after graduating i.e. 2004 i was lucky to be employed in an Environmental Consultancy Firm where i was able to gain skills in Ms Word, Ms Excel, Internet, printing, photocopy, binding, lamination. I have excellent typing skills at 50 wpm.
I have two children boy (8) and girl (going to 6 in January) who observe what i do on a daily basis and i am sure would like to be independent when they grow up.
I like to talk and help women who may need my help. especially when it comes to environmental management.

My Business

I am registered by the National Environment Management Authority to conduct Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Audits for proponents who would like to start any kind of development. From the income from the Environmental consultancy i started a printing and photocopy business that is now doing very well. I have hired a young man who is yet to join University who is assisting with the business thus creating employment. The young man runs errands, conducts public participation and consulation, he delivers reports/licenses to clients, i am also teaching him banking and other office duties.
From the profits from the business, i buy photocopy papers at wholesale price, toner and cartdriges, airtime, electricity bills, internet bills. I also take time to have fun with my family to avoid being a dull mum.

Loan Proposal

I would like to buy a dairy cow and sell the milk to our cooperative society for monthly income. The cow will be kept in our rural home in Kinangop. I will also use part of the loan to buy dairy meal, salt and minerals, feeding troughs and a tank of water. The income will help me offset the loan and probably buy another cow from the proceeds. This is my wish..

Dear Lenders, from the last loan i boosted my business by buying stationery like photocopy papers, toners, binding covers and spirals in large quantities at wholesale price. In April, we went to the coast (Mombasa) for a holiday to relax and let the kids see "lots of water" (indian ocean). It was fun. They wish to go back to Mombasa again! I told them "depends on whether Zidisha Lenders come through for us" :)

First i wish to thank you lenders. Again. :) I received kshs. 154998 in my mpesa account. I paid school fees for two champs for the school term. Joshua was selected to join the scouts squad and they have their first trip to honour the later founder Sir Baden Powell. His sisters wishes to become a girl guide too. Hence, with the loan extended to me i bought scouts uniform and i will also pay for the school trip. The young lady wishes to help me out in the kitchen so she is the proud owner of an apron.
I will update with more photos. Thank you again lenders.
