hello lenders, I am githaiga Joseph aged 38 years. I am a family man with two kids-two boys. i am currently working with a local organization but also I have side jobs to earn extra income.

My Business

besides a salary I earn from my employer I also have small businesses to supplement on the income. I am engaged in selling cloth items at retail price.i buy new cloths and sell them through my friends and neighbors.basically it's a virtual boutique. Its a fairly new business venture but is able to bring some income and pay some bills.

Loan Proposal

I plan to buy a plastic water tank with the loan. I have already bought other drip irrigation kits but my savings run short so i only need water tank. A tank of about 500 liters costs about Ksh. 5000. I will do the installation myself after having been taught by an agricultural officer.
The project will be sustainable since after the installation of the drip irrigation kits, the cost of water bills will go down and also this will save me time i spend on watering the plants physically. My family will also be assured of continuous supply of fresh vegetables throughout the year.
I plan to plant about 200 tomato plants. In about two months, the tomatoes will be ready for the market and i project to make sales of about ksh. 10 per tomato or ksh. 100/kg of the tomatoes. From each plant i can fetch about 10 tomatoes per picking i.e.10*200*10=Ksh. 20,000. From the vegetables like kales and watermelons i project to makes at least Ksh. 200 from each melon and Ksh. 50 from a bunch of kales. I project that the vegetables will be ready for sale in a months’ time from now since i have already sowed them in a nursery and they are now ready for transplanting.
