About Me

Am Ngwata Phiri born in Lusaka Zambia.
Started my primary school at Chalimbana in Lusaka. Then to Chilenje Primary School and later to Woodlands Primary School. Where I completed my primary education. Went to Kabulonga Boys Secondary School for my GEC certificate.
Did my tertiary education at Zambia Institute of Technology where I did Computer studies.
I also hold a certificate in psychosocial counselling.

My Business

Currently trying to run a Business Center. I need to finish the building and furnish it with the equipment needed to run the business. I have broken it into 4 phases
Phase 1.) Foundation, Superstructure, Roofing, Floor and Septic tank. Total cost about $2,300 (Completed)
Phase 2.) Plastering walls, Doorframes and doors, Window frames and Window panes, Painting. Total cost $2,000 (More than half has been done)
Phase 3.) Toilets, Verandah (Roofing, Pillars, Electrical wiring, Tiles) Total cost about $250. (Roofing, Electrical wiring and pillars done)
Phase 4.) Electricity connection to power grid, Equipment (Photocopier, Laminator, 2 Secondhand desktops, 2 Tables, 4 Secondhand chairs) Total cost about $1,000 (Electricity connected secondhand photocopier purchased, secondhand PC purchased)
Total remaining cost for the project is about $1,000
When I get the next loan I hope to finish phase 2 and phase 3.

I plan to help the youths in the area in the way of motivating them to make something of their lives and have computer games as way of teaching and recreation. There is not much in the way of creation and role-models here.

Loan Proposal

Am getting to finish the building and furnishing
-Painting K1,000
-Branding K2,000
_ PCs K4,000
- Laminator K700
- Tables K1,000
- Chairs K500

TOTAL K9,200
The loan I have applied for is not enough for what I need to complete. If I get a bigger loan I will struggle with repayment. So I will try to source the difference from elsewhere.

Things are really terrible. Power outage is having an untold toll on businesses. Power outage of 15 hours a day. Power only comes on at night, midnight to early hours of the morning.

Things here are not so good. We have power outages of about 15 hours a day. This is posing a challenge, but am pressing on and am going to meet my obligations
