About Me

I am Lydia Chepkorir, third born in a family of six. I live in Industrial Area Estate on the outskirts of Nakuru town. I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kenyatta University and I am currently working as an intern at Amaco Insurance.

To enable me pay my bills as I looked for paying employment, I did set up a beauty shop at Industrial Area, opposite Riva petrol station, and it has been a success for over one year.

My hobbies are reading informative articles, listening to music, traveling and making new friends all over the world.

My Business

I have a beauty shop at Industrial Area where I sell cosmetics and makeup products. The shop is my main source of income, as the internship job does not pay me. It is my second year and the location is strategic due to good population.

For the last almost a year and a half, I have been selling fast-moving cosmetics and makeup products such as eyeshadow, liners and pencils, brushes and tools, lipstick, creams, perfumes, lotions, oils and others. Right now, I would like to introduce hair extensions, pieces and wigs.

The business has helped me pay my bills and the little savings has gone to supporting my younger siblings, who are currently in junior secondary. I recently exhausted my savings on renewing my business license for the next year and I am planning on the support of Zidisha to expand the business.

Loan Proposal

Since the festive season comes with increased demand for variety and quantity of products (which has already started) I would like to expand my stock to match my customer needs. I will therefore use the $100 loan to increase the stock for fast moving cosmetics and make up products such as eye-shadows, liners& pencils ,brushes and tools, lipsticks, creams, perfumes, soaps, lotions, face masks, oils and others.
The increased products will improve profits, help me pay the loan with ease and save more for future projects- for instance, opening a hair salon within the estate.

    Hello lenders,
Thank you for supporting us. My shop is doing well- the items I introduced are already gaining steady demand.
I would however like to reduce the size of my installment for a few weeks as I target to catch up with bigger installments later this month.
Thank you and God bless you all.

My last two payments were spread in two installments so I thought they each less than 50% as the terms and conditions indicate. I was misguided by the 50% concept.
          Thanks

    Hello lenders,
Thank you so much for your noble work. Zidisha has been a blessing for me.
I had a problem rescheduling this loan last week. I was planning to repay the balance in two installments but confirmed the wrong figures instead.
    Thank you for your patience.
