About Me

I am 32yrs of age and was born in kakamega county kakamega town ikonyero village.Had a happy childhood and enjoyed love from both my parents.Am a third born in a family of 5.Schooled in Kakamega primary school and later went to Archbishop Njenga Girls High School.scored mean grade of C+.I later joined Masinde Muliro University of science and technology for bachelors of business management procurement option.
My parents had to struggle to raise my siblings fee and mine and most of the time I had to skip classes to wait for my parents to pay my fees.this struggle made me work harder n score good grades.I chose being self employed because it brings self dependence.chose mitumba (second-hand) clothes because they sell quickly and of high quality.most people in kenya prefer second-hand clothes because of cheaper prices.this business is the best thing that ever happened to me and as I apply for zidisha loan I have hopes that I will expand my business to help me cater for my family's needs.Kenyan people value there cultures and traditions so much.like this case is very unique in our land, specifically western part of kenya after four or five years young teenage boys get circumcised and go live in the forest to learn more about their cultures n traditions and how to value them.I have two children and now I already see them as champions.bringing them up just like my parents did is a big challenge.would like my children to grow up God fearing and value our cultures,to get education and be the greatest doctors the world has never had.well,I like travelling a lot, interacting with people from different walks and learning their cultures

My Business

I sell second-hand clothes and shoes commonly known in Kenya as mitumba in kenya.busia town being a developing town and a growing population it provides a very wide market for my mitumba business.main reason as to why I chose this business is having identified the growing need for quality clothes and shoes in my are and I believe that my shop will continue to meet this demand.
My whole business is currently worth USD 250.this includes current stock and shop.with this amount I am able to get and make a profit of USD 150 a month.I intend to expand my business to at least USD 1000with which I trust and am confident enough that the profits will increase to USD750.that's why I would wish to advance advance a loan from zidisha and enable me expand my business and be able to meet my market demand which for the past month it has increased.I intend to use the profits from this business to reinvest in this business and possibly start another by the end of this year.also would like to have a capital base of more than USD1000 which will enable me expand in my business as well as education support.
I plan to buy new bunch of clothing for women and children (under the age of5 )
First bunch of clothing which is about 410 pieces will cost USD400. I intend to raise USD 0.44 profit per piece of a clothing. Total profit will be at most approximately USD 180.
My target market is women and children and I intend to help them benefit because it will be fairly affordable. Consequently I will able to practice entrepreneurial skills learnt in college.
Thank you so much
