About Me

During my childhood, I was staying with my senior sister who was supporting me in school. After her demise, I became handicapped as I was left with no any help not even from my patents because they had so many to cafe for. My schooling naturally ended premature at primary class six (6). The only thing I could do was to take up my sister's trade of cooking and selling rice and beans (waache). I was on this for some time until I got married and later had two children
Circumstances beyond my control made me to divorce my man and migrated to another community, where I am staying with my current husband.
I figured out over here that their favorite typ of porridge or koko could be my trade, hence the birth of " koko for breakfast.
The people of Teiman are business minded who leave their homes early enough for several places, their business points. Others prepare their children and quickly dispatch or send them to schools. Once timing here is critical, I ensure that before they got up from their beds, koko their favorite is ready for them.
My daughter who is now training as a nurse, has intended to commission into the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services as a senior nurse to assist the medical officers to treat and prevent diseases among soldiers and other staff of the deffence ministry, including the general public.
Looking at the boy's behavior , he is interested in auto engineering.
Reading is a hobby I like most. Anytime and anywhere I go on break or recreation, I carry along my Holy Quran and do a lot of reading there. I strongly believe that Zidisha has come to my life at the right time. I therefore fervently pray to Allah for a continuous health and alignment with Zidisha and Partners. Long live Zidisha. Long live Lenders.

My Business

I provide the people of Teiman porridge or koko of a difference
Koko for porridge is useful because when they wake up in the morning it's what is at their disposal early enough for their patronage.
I chose this business because it happened to be a marginal trade on the ground and it could benefit me.
My current typical cost is around five thousand Ghana cedis (GHS 5 000/ USD 909) and my current revenue is around five thousand two hundred Ghana cedis (GHS 5 200 / USD 945.5).
I use my profits in paying my children's and other dependents' school fees, reinvesting into the business for growth and also taking care of my home.

Loan Proposal

When this loan is obtained, I shall buy six (6) bags of millet; four (4) bags of beans; four (4) bags of sugar; two (2) bags of cooking oil and some assorted ingredients. All mentioned items will cost me GHS 90 .00 USD' Having got this amount I shall work harder so as to be able to double my profit so that I can better take care of my my kids.

It appears that Zidisha is not understanding me up to date. I have made you aware of all my problems and it appears that I am still not understood. It is still on my dash board that the amount due payable now is GHS 2156. I am still repeating that ALL my deposits with you be deducted from the said amount so that the small remainder can be more manageable. I am still not in business but this remaining little amount can easily be settled. According to my religion islam it is a big SIN to die with some one's money. As such I don't want to leave this world with anybody's debt. So am still on my knees begging you to assist me fulfill this my religious obligagation. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks a lot.

In my unsuccessful struggle to beat today's deadline, I resorted to write you this message. The system will not allow me beyond five (5) installments of which I will be comfortable to pay.
My reason for the change in installment amount is that, among other things, heavy rains render my home inhabitable for days anytime it pours due to the falling of my house fence wall. This calls for immediate fixing. Again this fixing, among other problems, has taken me all this while.
I am therefore fervently pleading with you to allow me go by this new installment of GHS 50.00 every week until I finish the whole GHS 2156. I hope you will permit me as such.
Additionally, may I plead with you that other deposits like my security deposit be deducted from my unpaid loan so that I can comfortably settle the rest. LONG LIVE ZIDISHA, LONG LIVE PARTNERS. Thanks a lot

I am very sorry for the inconvenience in my loan repayments created. It was due to circumstances, one of which I posted on the 12th of Feb 2018 as follows: Habiba Seidu Apr 12, 2018
Dear Zidisha and Lenders. I wish to bring to your notice that for the past few weeks I have been trying to remove fire from stones, hence my inability to continue my weekly repayments.

My food retail point was suddenly collected from me for a different purpose. This issue lingered on for the past five weeks. Fortunately for the timely intervention of some elders, this issue has come to past.

Thanks be to the Almighty Allah. By His Grace, I shall next week resume repayments and shall finish before the deadline.

Very sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks a lot and Allah bless Zidisha and partners.

However I believe you will as well do your best to assist me again prior to my loan expiring the second time in six (6) days. Thanks once more for being my life wire in adequately supporting me. Thanks a lot.

I am happy and proud to be with Zidisha all this while. My reason is that it has turned my life around and continued doing so. As a result I have been able to pay my children's school fees, take good care of my aged parents. I have for amthe first time in my life time managed to negotiate for an accommodation which I shall repay by installment in the coming months. Zidisha, Zidisha, Zidisha!!! O yeee!

Habiba - I am sorry that there are technical challenges preventing the disbursement of your loan. Rest assured that the Zidisha team are working on as fast as they can, though the advice from the Forum at the moment is simply to be patient. Clearly if you're really struggling for cash that is of little comfort, but hopefully it will be resolved for you (and everyone else in Ghana) very soon forum.zidisha.org/threads/g...
