My name is Zipporah Rono. I am 26 years old, married and blessed with two children. I am the third born in a family of four. I reside with my family at Chepkosa village in Bomet County.
In order to support the low income, I started one year ago a cereal shop at Kapkwen shopping centre which has become a big success to me and my family so far.
My hobbies are reading, listening to music and adventure.
I have a cereal shop at Kapkwen shopping centre about 3 kilometres from Bomet town. I sell cereals such as: maize, wheat, rice, millet and a few legumes such as dried beans. I source most of these products from Western Kenya and I normally make a margin of about 40% profit. My main customers are local residents and hotels within the shopping centre.
The business is good, so I would like to expand by adding stock.
I would like to expand my stock especially of maize and wheat and also dried beans, whose demand is so high in my area of business. I therefore plan to use $101 on purchasing the additional stock as follows: I plan to buy an extra bag of maize at a cost of $35.5, an extra 50kg bag of wheat at a cost of $44.40, and additional dried beans at a cost of $21.10.
The increased stock will improve my net profits, help me pay the loan with ease, and save more for future projects, such as introduction of fresh produce within the same shop.
Thank you.
