About Me

I am Yuvenalis Mogire. I went to school at Sengera; although I had struggles with life working in our shamba and grazing livestock, I managed to finish O levels. Later I did a certificate in business administration in St. Ann College in Kisii town. After school, I secured a job with the municipal council, from which I managed to save money to start my business. I have three kids whom I am schooling and supporting fully.

My Business

After saving, I bought three-week chicks that I personally reared and I liked the idea. After my first sales, I started to rear indigenous chickens (Kienyeji chickens) which I sell to nearby hotels. I opted to raise Kienyeji chickens because of the harsh cold weather here; the indigenous chickens adapt well to the weather. I also sell eggs. I make a profit of USD $1,200 per month, which I use to feed my family and pay school fees for the children.

Loan Proposal

I need to replace the current feeding equipments that are now old. I am therefore requesting for funds to buy this items. One feeding trough costs around USD 7 and I can at least purchase around four of them. This is to provide a clean feeding environment for the chicken to avoid infections that can arise due to bad hygiene. My poultry will be healthy thus good production. This will boost my earnings and help me in paying my bills in time.
Thank you as I look forward to your continued support

With my last loan I bought drugs and vaccinated the chicken accordingly.
