About Me

I was brought up with a single parent, only a mother, and she was the marketeer. She was an inspiration to me; that's how I got the skills. I did my primary level education at Chibolya Basic School and secondary at Lotus Basic School. I finished my school at Kamwala High School in 2008.

I lost my parent in 2010, which was too excruciating because she was my backbone. That's how I thought of starting a business of my own to keep on living in 2011.

In my town, people are social and it's a good place to do business. I have no children, yet I would love them to do business because business is life and service. I like chatting with friends.

My Business

My business deals with phone accessories and IT. Because everyone is using phones and computers each single day, it's a good idea. People need headsets, batteries, chargers, USBs, different cabs, mouses, flash drives, memory cards, and OS updates to their computers and phones every now and then. And the area is densely populated.

I chose this business because it's not common here in the compound. It's only found in town, so many people will be getting it near their homes where my business and service are located. We also offer good service for clients.

I sell: headsets that I buy for $2 and sell for $5; batteries which vary in price, some are $1, $2, $5, selling at $2.50, $5, and $10; chargers at $2.50 selling for $6; USB for $0.80 selling for $2.50. The revenue is double the cost. I use the profit from my business for investing and paying for school fees for my sibling and my nephew.

Loan Proposal

i want to buy photocopy machine, binding machine and cutter these will cost me $251. two boxes of rim of papers cost $50, school books for grade 7-12 seven subject per grade 42 books for the start each cost $ 2 total $84, and renovating the shop material will cost me $40, i have to plaint the shelves and repairing chairs carpenter i have to pay him $10.
-it will surely bring more business under one roof it will turn out prominent and the community will be very safe in a conducive neater environment also pupils will benefit cause of the books. so that an advantage on the other side which will be no difficults to pay back the loan
-new business in my shop will increase my profit am sure $100 or even more

I spoke to Misheck who explained that the interruptions in electrical power supply that we are currently experiencing in Zambia have had a negative impact on his business and therefore he has been having challenges in paying back his loan.
I encouraged him to look into other avenues of raising funds so he may be able to pay the loan as soon as he possibly can.
He assured me he is committed to repaying the loan as soon as he has a stable income.
