About Me

I am Yuvenalis Mogire. I went to school at Sengera; although I had struggles with life working in our shamba and grazing livestock, I managed to finish O levels. Later I did a certificate in business administration in St. Ann College in Kisii town. After school, I secured a job with the municipal council, from which I managed to save money to start my business. I have three kids whom I am schooling and supporting fully.

My Business

After saving, I bought three-week chicks that I personally reared and I liked the idea. After my first sales, I started to rear indigenous chickens (Kienyeji chickens) which I sell to nearby hotels. I opted to raise Kienyeji chickens because of the harsh cold weather here; the indigenous chickens adapt well to the weather. I also sell eggs. I make a profit of USD $1,200 per month, which I use to feed my family and pay school fees for the children.

Loan Proposal

After disposing off the chicken I had I am requesting for funds to get young hatched chicks of 3 weeks to start the project again.
With the proceeds that remained from my sales I will boost the funds to add more feedings troughs and replace the old ones, new feeding troughs help to prevent infections.
The 3week chicks will cost me USD 2.5 and I will buy around 100. Total cost being USD 250.
The new feeding troughs will cost me a total of USD 50 including chicken feeds and some drugs for immunising the chicks.
I expect this project to mature after another 6 to 8 weeks for I to get returns and clear the loan and take care of my family.
Thank you so much as I look forward to your support.

With my last loan I bought drugs and vaccinated the chicken accordingly.
This made their healthy to be good thus increased production of eggs and minimised motalities. My earnings improved and I was able to pay my bills
