About Me

I am Rose achisa aged 24 years. i am married to kenly kivailo and we have one child. i am a graduate with a diploma in business administration from Rift valley institute of science and technology year 2012. with help from my husband, i started business while i was in college whereby i rear pigs for both commercial and domestic purpose. I also sell cloths to help me increase my income and expand my business. Both businesses are doing well and with your help they will do even much better. My hobbies are watching movies and cooking which i enjoy doing at home and during family events

My Business

My business involves rearing of pigs which takes 6 months for a piglet to mature and gain good weight (45-50kgs) for sale. i currently have 22 pigs, 3 mothers and 19 piglets. i have been selling 14-18 pigs in every 6 months after birth and each pig goes for $120 hence i make $1100 profit after deducting expenses. Therefore i can approximate a monthly income of between $150-200. I also get some additional profit of $50-100 from my cloth selling business. the challenges in this venture are lack of enough capital to buy good quality food for the pigs that enhance them to gain good weight within a short period of time. With your help, i will be able to buy 5 sacks of good quality pig-meal at a cost of $12 per sack to boost pigs weight for better sales. i will also increase my stock i.e cloths for sale hence make good profit and have easy time when repaying my zidisha loan.

Project Proposal

Hello zidisha team,I enrolled on CPA (certified public accountant) 3 and 4 ,I was able to pay my school fees using the proceeds I got from my business and the salary I got from my 9am-5pm accountant job,the loan of ksh 38,600/= I will use to pay for my exams namely ;company law, financial management, financial reporting, auditing and assurance, management information systems, quantitative analysis.each exams costs ksh 3,200/= which will total to ksh 19200/=,the remaining amount I will use to add stock to my gas selling business and hence I will be able to pay my loan on time

Hello zidisha team,It is my hope that you are keeping safe,my last loan helped me increase profits since I was able to add stock ain my clothes selling business and also was able to buy good quality food for my pigs and was also able to finish successfully my CPA(certified public accountant) 1 and 2, unfortunately when corona happened my business were not doing well because pig food prices were increased and thus profit decreased, also the cost of buying mitumba(second hand clothes) also increased, customers purchasing power also decreased thus a reduction in profit, after a deliberation and discussing with my husband I decided to sell all my pigs and the stock of clothes I had and decided to venture into another business,I was also able to get employment as an assistant accountant at a company called muigai commercial agency in Nakuru Kenya,I must say that were it not for zidisha team I wouldn't be able to get employment as an accountant because with your help I was able to sit for my exams and passed.
