About Me

Esther Nderu is a young lady passionate about beauty and a mother of 2 beautiful girls.
I studied upto form four and decided to pursue my passion - beauty. I attended college and after college my father started a salon for me.
Life has not been easy but I am determined to make sure that my girls never lack a thing. They are my pride and I will move every extra mile to make sure they are comfortable.
Following what my aunt told me about Zidisha I believe I will make many more extra miles. I look forward to be a part of this family I hear is so wonderful

My Business

I run a salon which is situated near where I stay, that is in Lakeview area in Nakuru. When I started the salon it was a bit challenging to have to get customers. With time I have managed to get steady customers, among them my grandmother who appears on my profile photo.
With steady steps up the business ladder I am now able to make at least Kshs. 3000/= on a busy day. In a month I am able to account for a profit of Kshs. 20,000/= after deducting the salon's expenses, the salon's rent, electricity bill, water bill and paying the girl who assists me.
The income I get from the salon, enables me to pay rent for my house, feed my baby girls pay their school fees and meet other needs
The main challenge I am facing is lack of an effective drier since the one I have has some defect. I have lost a few clients due to the time the drier takes. If I can get an additional drier, I am sure to have my clients back and also additional clients.
With additional capital I will be able to expand the activities at my salon as well as open an additional salon.

Loan Proposal

As mentioned earlier the drier that I have currently has some defect and needs replacement. I have been saving some funds to buy a new one.
The loan I have requested is to top up the funds I have accumulated so far to purchase a new drier.
The new drier will enable me to offer faster services to my clients and if possible retrieve back some of my gone customers.
The new drier is around Kshs, 12,000 (US$ 116). With this expansion I expect to boost my profit by at least 25% which will enable me to employ an additional staff.
I invite you to contribute to this my loan request and you can be sure it will go to good use.
Thanks in advance to all investors who will support me in this my endevor.

Greetings Esther. I am James and am glad to give you a loan to help you in your salon business. When you get the new drier I hope you get back those clients that were lost because of the drier problem. I want you to succeed in your business. I have been to Kenya 3 times, and I have many friends there. You can call the lost clients and let them know that you now have a new drier. It's good to have a book with your clients name and phone number. After this drier, you might consider getting another drier so you can serve even more clients. You also might consider other ways to earn money in your salon besides doing hair work. While women are waiting to be served, they might like a snack, or a soda, or their child who is with them. Sell jewelry, snacks, sodas, cosmetics, even personal items that women buy. Perhaps later on you can get a fridge for the sodas. My daughter in Kenya even has a TV in her salon. Think about all these things Esther. I know how life is in Kenya, I want you to have a good business. Take care and write when you have time. God bless. James

Thank you James. I greet you too. I have appreciated your concern but lack of capital is the main problem. For now I will first complete to pay the loan of 5000sh, then I will apply for another one. I am sure I will go far. God bless indeed
