My names are Catherine Bakari Born brought up in Kenya.Lived almost all my life in Nairobi.Went to school up to secondary Education then college after that worked in different companies later opened my own business oasis dreams beauty parlour and while the i financed my course training with Kenya funguo foundation Kenya where i learned beauty production and business management.Since then have been learning from on line course Like AMI and others
But only recently i decided to expand my business to venture into my own beauty production for my oasis beauty product. I have website and i sell on line so i online almost all the time
I m out going open minded spiritual and curios person and especially on business fields
Have hard my ups and down in business and life and i m the kind that believes in crawling whenever i cant wal,walk when i cant tun but always on move never give up

My Business

Yah i love talking about my business because i love it.It started from scratch i mean no starting capital but client and no equipment but my hands .No beauty product but a bottle of massage oil and my own beauty product for personal use
I started by hiring a small space in a hotel in Miliman then i was an employee of a hotel that was known then as Heron court
The place where i use to hire small space was near by walking distance form my work and home so there was no transport cost.
Started with my friend and slowly client i use to attend to at sauna at my place of work would then come to my hired place for facials treatment steaming was done with bowl of hot water and towel to cover my product were natural like eggs white York as face mask avocado lemon honey mix hair treatment and the shampoo i could afford then form local shop
Within as short period of time i had more than enough client and hire d professionally trained therapy is and beautician barber to join me paid on commission i did home and office boarding school visit for hair cut hair do and manicure pedicure
my i registered my company under oasis dreams beauty parkour and today i have even till number for same business Thanks to God and shall forever be grateful to Safari com for communication and mpesa payment then now till use even on line

Loan Proposal

This is what i plan to do wit the loan this time around
So very happy and grateful my lenders no words to explain and zidisha too you connect guide and support us round about.
Now this time I will work even smarter because first I have more experience in the production and selling than when I started, and I also found a free business course on line AIM which has taught me a lot about how to plan manage business as well as finance. Thus now i feel well equipped mentally to do my business.
With the $8.5USD I hope to get this time around I would start by saving my 10% to my fixed account as usual, Then $5.4USD would go into buying chemical which is of course the most important part of the whole process then$2USD would go into buying packaging material and $1USD for Air time that i would use in my phone for communication as well as online to place or renew my free classified advertisement on line.
At list this time I already have
IMPLEMENTS.
1. Wooden ladle.
2. Medium-sized basin.
3. Measuring spoons and cups.
4. Gas stove.
5. Pot.
6. 500 ml pet bottles.
So the challenge is to buy the following
Materials needed:
1. Sodium lauryl ether sulfate,(Re-known chemical name-Ungerol). Quantity needed: 500 mls. this i have left over from last time
2. Sodium chloride or iodized salt(Re-known chemical name-Normal kitchen salt). Quantity needed:500g.
3. Cocodiethanolamide or CDEA, (Re-known chemical name-Ufacid). Quantity needed:500 mls.
4. Water-soluble dye, (Normal food color). Quantity needed:20g.
5. Benzalkonium chloride,(Normal preservatives). Quantity needed:40mls
6. Fragrance,(Local varieties). Quantity needed:20mls
7. Distilled or de-ionized water, (You can boil tap water). Quantity needed:20lts.
This would cost me around $5USD and then I ready to go
I have ready client as I make by order the only problem is because i do manual for now thus unable to do large quantities as per my clients demand and slow as well
I have more clients with higher demand than my production.
But I m grateful to my lender and I m working hard and smart to ensure I save enough to buy a machine soon so i don't lose some of my good client who demand more than my production
With your help my beloved lenders and Zidisha i s light at the end of the tunnel I started from scratch now increasing month after month. What I like the most about this my work that I love so much too is that i m able to create employment even if is only part time and for 2 people at list twice a week is still something .Supply my products to neighbour’s small shops within my area is a way in which not only a my improving my life and that of my family but even neighbour’s.
I mean how contributing to the economy even in my small unnoticed way abut I believe in scrawling whenever I can’t walk and walk when i can’t run but always moving and my lender are making it possible for me.
So i promise not to let you down will work even smarter this time to ensure by Divine grace i pay back on time.
