About Me

My name is Mr. Asomah frank. A man of 32 years of age. I live in a town called Nsawkaw in Tain district of Ghana.Iam from a family of six of which I am the second born. I started my basic school in Amantin St. John Anglican Basic School this was as result of my poor background .My parents sent me to my uncle at Amatin to take care of me.After primary I continued my senior high education at Amantin Senior High School.Just after secondary school I thought at three different private schools before I secured some amount to establish my provision store.I always working hard to earn for my parents. Now l am with my lovely family in NSAWKAW. By God's grace my nuclear family has increase by one.The name of my baby is Kerstin. She is so dear to me,very soon she will start schooling. She will be sent to one of the best schools in my locality.
With my current business my family is no more a burden but a blessing.Zidisha is the only place I have the chance to borrow and be comfortable.I say this not because there are no avenues. With the others the interest alone and the terms of payment alone can collapse the business. Some loans are given with almost 50% interest rate.which is too high for businesses like our type.
With my current family size if Zidisha faints our businesses may either stand still or the worst can happen.I started feeling the heat when my loan has been refused funding for almost a month now.
long live Zidisha!!!!

My Business

The name of my provision shop has been changed to"GOD IS MIGHTY". It is located now at NSAWKAW. My basic capital was $100. I sell food products like rice, maize and some canned products like tin tomatoes ,milk, sardine etc. I have employed one worker who I pay every month. Currently my capital have raised to $1900. I need some extra loan to help me purchase other food products I do not have and the products which are not enough in my shop so that my customers will get any products they want in my shop. I manage to raise about $75.00 every week. It is my aim to expand the business so that I can employ more people and take good care of my family.
My business now is expanding.I have secured motor bike through loans raised from Zidisha. This bike assists me to transport goods from my warehouse (my house) to the store. Thanks to the Zidisha team and lenders.

Loan Proposal

My loan if granted will assist me a lot.As at now there are some provisional items still short supply every week.
This loan will be used to tin milo 100 dollars,Caesar apple drink which is 120 dollars, spaghetti 102 dollars, energy drinks 200 dollars.
If my honourable lenders grant me this loan it will save my community from walking long distances to get their needs.I will also be able to take proper care of both my extended family and my nuclear family.
With this amount my business will grow at least 17%.

Sometimes I begin to wonder what some of us will do if Zidisha leaves our loans unfunded.I say this not because I don't have hope but because of persistent decline in loan application.
There are so many microfinances in Ghana where only government workers and well recognized businesses can borrow with almost more than 50% interest rate.
Some of us can't go for such cut throat loans even if we qualify.
The terms of payment are also not favourable. So at end you may collapse your business.
I'll therefore plead on lenders to come to our aid at least some of us who have been paying and with good standing with Zidisha.
I applied for a loan last week, visited my dashboard today and it still in waiting list.
    Long live Zidisha!!!!!

When I always look back I thank God I was introduced to Zidisha.Even though my application has expired with only 2% funded am not worried.I can now boast of so many things.Expansion of my store, motor bike, two rooms uncompleted building.I'll appeal to my dear lenders that, This time round they should fund my loan for to re stock my shop.
