About Me

my name is Francis Barasa , I was born in Western part of Kenya a place called Bungoma. I schooled at Machwele primary school and went to Bukembe Friends secondary school , after that I joined Sang'alo institute of science and technology but I I did not complete my education due to lack of school fees.
I am married to my beloved wife and we are blessed with two kids.
I later decided to start a small business that would enable me to provide for my family and our younger brothers and sisters from both sides. my aunt supported me with 3000 kenyan shillings of which I began small grocery that have finally grown in to a retail shop for the last five years. I am a christian by religion and I teach my kids how to grow and walk in the fear of the lord.

My Business

i sell home supplies like branded food vegetables and other retail shop accessories that are useful to the people living in my area. I buy on whole sale and sell them at retailled price. the business is good for you have to walk a long distance for you to get a nother shop. I sell my goods at a cheaper price and tha't;s why i have more customers. to some poor people i give them on credits and they faith fully pay during the a greed time.
So if supported with a loan then my area will develop properly thanks even as you prepare to fund my loan

Loan Proposal

Good evening zidisha team ? Let me first thank you for the loan which you gave me. I fully agree that it helped me much, I used the loan to invest into my business. I was given 88000 kenya shillings which 100 percent I invesrted into the business . To be specific I bought mattress worthy 40000 ,blankets worthy 25000,cussions worthy 15000 and finally 8000 for transpotation from the city of nairobi to the county headquarters town and to the shopping center where my shop is located. Today I request the loan of 84000 . My business faced the challenges last few months due to political factors in the country. Due to frequent demonstrations that occurred in the country after general election affected the economy of the country. Due to that reason I used some of my capital to pay zidisha loan, my brothers , daughter the school fees and the rent. Due to that reason I wish that you will lend me the money so that I can restock my business again. Dear members I will use50000, to buy foam mattresses,20000, to buy cussions8000 for blankets and the remaining remaining 6000 for transportation. This loan will benefit the society at large because they will be able to get the products they want near and therefore they will not waste time and money traveling to look for the goods. When the business grows I expext the society to grow at large because I have employed four people and therefore we expect to employ more in future. also I have been contributing towards the development in the society both financially and educating the youth and women the intrepreneurship . Iam the chairman of the youth in the society and through zidisha funding I have been able to help the orphans with foods and clothing. I hope that if God will I will grow together with my society . I will benefit from this because my stocks will incresae and I will make profit when I sell big volume of the business. I expect 50 percent profit in increase due good business environment this year . My dream is one to own foam mattress company in future so that I can employe more than ,1000 people that will reduce the poverty in the society.

morning lenders i am happy today to inform you that i have been able to complete my loan. this year the business was tough. i tried to sale at less price compared to my competitors. thanks for the loan once more.i purchased mattresses and blankets with the previous loan but unfortunately the foam companies reduced the prices and was difficult to make sales. the most important point is that i want to thank you because you made my life standard improved .
