About Me

My name is Kelita Mupukuta. I am a married woman with one child. I live in the fishing camps. I am newly married.

I was raised by my aunt who taught me to be a successful business lady. My aunt sold shoes and clothes to residents of the Fishing Camps.

My Business

I am a business lady of Siavonga town. I buy fish from fishermen and I also sell village chickens.

Recently, I opened a hardware store using the loan which I received from the Zidisha community.

My business is doing well as more people are coming to my store to buy hardware goods which they need for construction projects.

Loan Proposal

I plan to use the loan to buy village chickens from surrounding townships and supply these to individuals and restaurants in my township.

I will buy the village chickens for K40 and sell them for K70, making a profit of K30.

I plan to use the K1,800 to buy over 40 village chickens. I will make a profit of K1,000 on this deal and I hope that Zidisha Lenders will support me in my request.

Income Source

My business is doing well, as many people are eating village chickens, instead of broilers that are fed on vitamins and supplements.

My chickens are delicious and healthy and tasty. Customers cannot get enough of the village chickens that I supply.
