    You did post in the correct location for the types of messages you posted, so the additional information is just for future reference, because many new borrowers seem not to know it. ;)

    Here's some more information for you, too,
    in case you may not yet know:

    Please don't confuse your lender(s) with the Staff.

    This is the Staff, a.k.a. the Team: www.zidisha.org/team

    Although the two (2) current members of the Staff
    also are lenders, most lenders *aren't* on the Staff.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    - This is your borrower-lender Discussion page, where you're supposed to update your lenders about your projects and your life in general (and where they may share about their projects and lives in general, too, if they wish).

    - It also is a place for VMs to communicate with you and/or your lenders.

    - And it's a location for you to tell your lenders anytime you want to adjust your payment schedule and why.

    - Additionally, it's a location to tell your lenders about a payment you made that didn't get posted after three business days... (in that case, you would tell them just the date and amount paid, and you would send all of the other details to the Staff on a "payment not posted" support ticket created from the HELP link in your account).

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Always remember that your borrower-lender Discussion page *isn't* intended as a location for communicating with the Staff, because they almost never visit the Discussion page of any individual borrower.

    Before contacting the Staff through the HELP link in your account
    about policy questions or concerns, or about any administrative or technical issues, please make sure you've first read the information the Director has posted on the FAQ page (www.zidisha.org/faq) and in the "Announcements" section of the Forum (www.zidisha.org/forums), and it's also usually a good idea to check the "Open Forum" and "Borrower Questions" sections of the Forum for information, too.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Also note that the Staff doesn't usually reply to posts in the Forum.

    That's because there are hundreds of thousands of Zidisha members
    (borrowers and lenders) and currently only two (2) people on the Staff.

    However, the Staff *does* see the messages in the Forum, every weekday
    (and sometimes on weekends, too).

    Whenever you post something there, usually you would just need to keep checking your account periodically to find out when they've resolved your issue.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Keep in mind, too, never to post any sensitive information (account number, phone number, email address, physical address, Id. Number, etc.) here on your borrower-lender Discussion page, or in the Forum, because those venues are fully visible to the public.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Only ever communicate sensitive information on a support ticket created from the HELP link in your account, anytime that option is available (it isn't always, but it sometimes is), to send a private message to the Staff.

    Or, regarding an image of the Id. Card, anytime the Staff wants to see that, they would place an "Upload Id." button in your account; uploading it with that button would send the image to a private screen that only they can see.

    Anytime you need to send something sensitive to the Staff and there doesn't seem to be any private way to do that, then you could post in the Forum (in the "Borrower Questions" section) to let them know you need them to provide you with a private way to send whatever it is you need to send them.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Thank you, and best wishes.

      I know it feels good to pay early, Rosemary,
      but here's something you may not know:

      It's actually not a good idea at Zidisha to pay ahead of schedule, unless you're absolutely certain you always could pay early or on time for every loan you ever take out here.

      The reason is because only on-time and late payments go into the calculation of the on-time repayment score (unless the policy has changed, but I haven't seen any announcement about any change to that policy).

      Keep in mind, too, that the on-time repayment percentage isn't just for one particular loan. It takes into consideration all on-time and late payments you've ever made from the time you first joined the platform and for all Zidisha loans you've ever had on your account.

      So, that would mean that if you're ever late, then not only your late payment(s) would hurt your on-time percentage, but also any early payments would hurt it, too.

      "On time" at Zidisha is defined as paying exactly on the due date or anytime within the ten-day grace-period after the due date. (Please keep in mind that dates and times are according to the U.S.A. Eastern Time-Zone.)
