Here are some clarifications for you:

Please don't confuse your lender(s) with the Staff.

This is the Staff, a.k.a. the Team: www.zidisha.org/team

Although the two (2) current members of the Staff
also are lenders, most lenders *aren't* on the Staff.

    - This is your borrower-lender Discussion page, where you're supposed to update your lenders about your projects and your life in general (and where they may share about their projects and lives in general, too, if they wish).

    - It also is a place for VMs to communicate with you and/or your lenders.

    - And it's a location for you to tell your lenders anytime you want to adjust your payment schedule and why.

    - Additionally, it's a location to tell your lenders about a payment you made that didn't get posted after three business days... (in that case, you would tell them just the date and amount paid, and you would send all of the other details to the Staff on a "payment not posted" support ticket created from the HELP link in your account).

Always remember that your borrower-lender Discussion page *isn't* intended as a location for communicating with the Staff, because they almost never visit the Discussion page of any individual borrower.

Before contacting the Staff through the HELP link in your account
about policy questions or concerns, or about any administrative or technical issues, please make sure you've first read the information the Director has posted on the FAQ page (www.zidisha.org/faq) and in the "Announcements" section of the Forum (www.zidisha.org/forums), and it's also usually a good idea to check the "Open Forum" and "Borrower Questions" sections of the Forum for information, too.

    Thank you.

Please, how do i get a refund of the Premium membership fee i paid. I'm not totally convinced with Zidisha and i will want to be sure i will get a refund of my 3,000 naira if i repay the outstanding loan i took. I took the loan (stupidly) hoping to use it to cover for my 3,000 naira.

      As previously communicated to you,
please contact the Staff via the HELP link
      in your account. Thank you.

I have been unable to contact the staff as there seems to be no option to do so. I will like to request for a repayment of the premium membership fee and thus far there seems to be no way to do so

If you don't have a HELP link in your account, then please go to the "Borrower Questions" section of the Forum and post there to tell the Staff about that technical problem affecting your account. (They almost never visit the borrower-lender Discussion page of any individual borrower.)

Although they usually don't reply to what people post in the Forum (sometimes they do, but usually they don't), you just would need to keep checking your account from time to time to see when they resolve the technical issue and/or when they issue a refund if you are due a refund. Only the Staff can handle those matters.

I paid 3,000 naira to Zidisha to register as a premium user. I did this with the hope that i will get a reasonable loan offer. However, i was offered a loan of 2,764 naira which is short of the amount i paid to Zidisha. I have tried to get in touch to complain and i didn't get refunded. I will not be paying back the 2,764 naira because doing that will amount to paying 5,764 naira plus interest to Zidisha for no service at all.

Just a technicality that Zidisha doesn't charge interest, but fees only.
That said, yes, the total in fees for each loan unfortunately currently is high.

Keep trying to contact the Staff via the HELP link in your account, and please be patient. You have to realize that there are hundreds of thousands of Zidisha members, and currently only two (2) people on the Staff, so patience is required.

Note, though, that you did confirm acceptance of the terms of the loan, so you are legally obligated to pay back the Net Disbursement and to pay the Fees, in installments. After that, if you never want to take out another Zidisha loan, then of course that is your right.

If things change, though, and if you ever do post another loan request, then the next time the system allows you to do so, at the top of your profile page please post a different photo of yourself, preferably at your business, to clearly showing your *entire* face (centered in the frame).

That also would ensure that your face would appear centered in the little circle to the left of your name slightly above each of your comments here on your borrower-lender Discussion page.

Borrowers are supposed to do that for the second loan request and for all subsequent loan requests after that. It isn't always noticed right away, but when it is, a note goes to the borrower to correct the issue. (Please note that lenders are not required to post a photo of themselves.)

The system should allow you to make that change the next time it allows you to post a new loan request and for as long as it's in fundraising. At that time, if you encounter any problems, please send a note to the Staff (a.k.a. the Team: www.zidisha.org/team) via the HELP link in your account.
