About Me

Samuel Zimba born in Lusaka city, the capital city of Zambia in the year 1977.

There is nothing that so great and gratifying than to have a meal bought for oneself as for me. And this has been my driving force for all that I have learnt and achieved in my life journey. Thus, am not much in agreement with handouts but rather the sweat of my body or in other terms, the fruits of my labour and ideas.

And by God's grace again I managed to do a good number of different online programs or rather courses as I was working with Society for Family Health. And this time the family started increasing the dependence on me to be giving helping hand for sustenance in most situations. Thankfully I have at least a UNZA diploma besides some other programs have done. And am currently so much inclined into doing integrated farming to raise the finance standard in the family to the level that my children wouldn't pass through my life situation exactly I did.

My Business

I have a kiosk for groceries and clothes at home which has been sustaining us. There are assorted items such electrical appliances, electrical.Besides the mentioned business which is being done at home ,I have ventured into farming for just a while now. And the farming am doing is intergrated farming. Am learning alot in the same.
So far so good. The goats population is increasing steadily at the settlement and the ducks. Am really enjoying the goat farming. I would love to mix my goats with sheep,; which am preparing.

Loan Proposal

I would buy cement and sand for the construction of the house. Because as at now i have already about 1000 blocks for the for the same building of the house. And I have already bought two loads of ten tonnes sand as well besides the stones for the footing.
1 bag of 50 Kg cement costs about $ 7.0 USA dollars and the total needed number of cements is about 40 just for the foundation. This translates into $280 USA dollars for the cement alone. And for the 3 loads building sand costs about $360 USA dollars excluding the rivers sand and crashed stones together costs about $270 USA dollars.

The money which i will save from house rentals when finish the building would be channeled into the business of farming of livestock and intergrated fish farming. The plan is to finish the construction in the next three months. If everything goes as planned I would start saving the $165 USA dollars I spend on rentals by January / February of 2018.

The farming of maize and the shop will continue helping me to repaying the loans without so much stretching financial muscles but managing to settle as both projects are running and sustaining the family respectively by God's grace.

My business has not been doing well lately. And am not happy about because it has affected me in many ways especially with my loan. I have been up and doing. I believe all will be well soon...my current labour will soon yield results.

This is how far the i have gone with building of the house. just thought sharing my progress.

  • Samuel    Nov 21, 2019

Thank you, for the normal follow up, being made through the contacts being used, my mentor talked to me.... and as I indicated I will definitely start making payments missed next week. The delayment has been to due the delayed wages I have been waiting for , because the business, after shifting into the house we are building, has gone down. Thus, the only money am depending on as at now is my salary.
We will get paid as the promise by management by Friday next week.

The money was disbursed into my account but my zidisha account doesn't show the repayment schedule. Beside it doesn't show any indication of me receiving the money. Is everything okay?

The previous loan helped me to buy bags of cements, round bars or rather deformed bars, crushed stones, building sand, river sand, planks, steel nails and compact boards for finalizing of the ring beam.
And the other money was paid for labour for the work done. The house has now reached the roofing level. Here attached are the photos of the level I have reached.
