MYSELF
My Name is Elijah Karoki Wachira. Am married in monogamous family and am blessed with one child. I live in Bahati division in Nakuru county .Am learned and i have O level certificate and have computer certificate .I started a business to get daily bread and to cater for future challenges (to get money for future use).My business is situated at Karunga shopping centre.

My Business

I sell mobile phone accessories, phone repair, computer repair and televisions. I also sell movies and renting them. My business has many customers and I earn a basic profit of about ksh 40,000 per month which amounts to ksh 480,000 per year. This is due to urban and rural electrification which has facilitated the growth of urban center and rural areas so many people have bought video players, computers, televisions, mobile phones e.t.c. The risks I face is that many people do not have computer knowledge , some do not return movies after they have completed viewing them, house rent is very high and I may like to build my own premises so that money of rent I can buy other basic needs.

Loan Proposal

I first wish to thank zidisha organization community and secondly show my gratitude to my first loan lenders for giving me an opportunity to grow my business. With the loan, i am planning to expand my business by selling phones as i also increase my accessories stock. I intend to use the loan in purchasing a digital camera since it has come to my realization that there is limited photo work in my area, Besides the camera, i also intend to purchase a printer which can comfortably print my photos and instant passports. With this i will be able to capture the nearest institutions and occasions aiming for a higher profit. The remnant will be used to increase my stock and other materials my business requires. One printer will cost me kshs.19,000. A camera will cost kshs.9,000.

Hi lenders and Zididha team. Thank you for this opportunity. I would like to take this moment to reschedule my loan. After you led me the loan, I did exactly what I intended to do. I bought phones and expand the business but due to increase of insecurity, my job has gone down the thugs have broken down and stole from my shop and now am back to square one. For two weeks that I have not been paying the loan I went to village to find money to raise up my business but unfortunately there is no internet services so I could not have rescheduled my loan page. Am sorry for the inconvenience but as I promised my mentor I am back to the job and I will pay the loan.

    Hello Elijah,
You invited Stephen Mbugua to Zidisha. He doesn't repay, he doesn't communicate with his lenders and as it seems, his phone number is not working. Please contact your friend and get back to us with an update, both with Stephens new number and with his plans to repay! Thank you. /Pavane

I kindly wish to request for the reschedule of my loan repayment. My business is currently facing a crisis, which leads to reduction of my daily income hence, my profit. My operating machine spoil and this might force me to look for an alternative which is basically purchasing or lending another machine. I am working on this problem, and in due time, it will be resolved. I wish to request patient from my lenders, and I promise them that, as soon as I solve this issue, I will increase my loan repayment amount.

    Hi Elijah,
You increased your stock and your profits, allowing faster payback, THREE DAYS after the loan was disbursed to you? That's incredible.

i happen to note a gradual change in my daily profits since i increased my stock and purchased my new computer, which is rapidly increasing my job quality and quantity in terms of customers and business associates, i also aim to increase my monthly installments to cover the payment in due time so as i can request for a subsequent loan and grow my business more. i have also ensured that,i can be able to repay the amount in the least time possible.
