About Me

I stay in Kahawa Wendani by myself. I am not yet married, but I hope fully God will bless me soon. I was born and raised here. My father was in the army and as a result we stayed at Kahawa Barracks. After my secondary school education, I joined the Nairobi Institute of Technical Studies, where I learnt skills in carpentry and painting. After my course, I started looking for employment, mostly as a casual labourer, mostly doing the odd jobs related to carpentry, and I have managed to sustain myself well. During my free time, I play football and go hiking.

My Business

My business involves working as a casual labourer making wooden things, mostly furniture, and even building fences. I also paint walls and any other item that I may be contracted to. I get jobs from recommendations from other customers and as a result make a living from doing the perfect job for my customers. I currently have a stand within my neighborhood, and I plan to set up a bigger shop soon. With the money I make, I save and the rest takes care of my basic needs.

Loan Proposal

I wish to apply for ksh52,600 equivalent to USD520 with this amount I will buy tool box equipment s like pliers, screw drivers, wall drillers, wire cutters etc this equipment will be very helpful to my business since sometimes I get hired as a handyman to install cables on walls and also to attach TV sets on walls and mostly I have to hire the tools, with my own fully equipped toolbox I will be good to go to work and will save a lot of money and so repayment of my loan wont be a problem at all thanks.

I first lent to Mack back in July 2017, he's consistently proven to pay his loans on time, & I would happily lend to him again :-)

He is appreciative, & just generally seems like a lovely optimistic chap with a good head on his shoulders. Also seems to be a hard worker & a good communicator. Definitely has my support.

Good luck with all your future endeavors Mack.
    Emma.

Thinking of you Mack :-) I hope you're ok?

If it would help, Zidisha staff can likely lower your repayment amount, & restructure your loan dates so you can just pick it up from here? Just pop them a msg & ask for some help :-) www.zidisha.org/forum-threa...

Really hope you're ok Mack... You're a strong resilient chap, whatever hardships you're going through, just believe in yourself & you'll get out the other side :-)

Wishing you all the best, Emma from Australia.

I see you have missed several of your loan repayments, lenders put their faith in you when they lent you money so please make an effort to pay it back. Zidisha is flexible and works with you to achieve success, do not throw away this opportunity. Margaret

Don't get too down on yourself for missing a couple of repayments Mack :-)
Feel free to reduce your loans for as long as you need too :-) No rush to increase it until you're ready.

Wishing you all the best, Emma.

Make sure you make your loan repayments on time Mack. Keeping a high repayment rate will help you secure future loans. Zidisha is a powerful tool, when used correctly to help grow businesses. Lenders can sort loans by the repayment rate when choosing who to loan to. Make yours as close to 100% on time repayments!

You did it Mack :-) Well done!! I really admire your persistence :-)

So glad you reposted the loan... For some reason quite a few loans weren't getting funded over the last couple months, so don't take it too personally that you were having a hard time getting funded. It was frustrating to see, so I can imagine it was very stressful on your end... I'm really sorry it took so many attempts, but YOU DID IT :-) It looks like loans are getting funded again, so I'm not sure what was happening before, but I'm glad you didn't let it deter you, & hopefully aren't too discouraged for the future... You've definitely got my support, and again, really admire you not giving up...

    Good luck with everything Mack.
    All the best, Emma.
