About Me

My name is Tom Gard. I hail from Bware Village in Migori County. I am a freelance writer by profession. I offer my online writing service through http://tomgardwritersbureau.kbo.co.ke. Apart from writing as a business, i also offer training to upcoming freelance writers. I have so far been able to train 25 young school leavers who are now actively involved in writing as a business. These are people who now write independently.

I have largely been involved in providing writing service to both individuals and companies with online businesses, something that i have been doing for the past seven (7) years.

I have so far received two Zidisha loans, which i have repaid successfully. The loans have enabled me to improve on both quality and quantity of my writing service and i am very much thankful to all Zidisha lenders who have funded my past loan applications.

My Business

My writing business brings in enough revenue that i will be able to use in servicing advanced loan. In addition to business earnings, i also receive a significant amount of money from the writing training service that i offer. This goes a long way in boosting my revenue. I am therefore in a good position to service advanced loan(s).

I used the fisrt Zidisha loan to buy a used PC, which has done me good. Not only have i been able to write more; i have been able to meet deadlines as set by my clients. I now wish to have a second loan that i will use to buy a another used PC and a printer.

I am a highly committed individual with a strong belief in everything that i do. This is evident in how i ventured into freelance writing as a business before naturing it into a fully-fledged business that now brings in revenue.

Loan Proposal

Hallow to Zidisha lenders. This is my third Zidisha loan application. I used the first two loans to improve both the quality and quantity of my writing business. The business is now performing extremely well and is self sustaining.

I now wish to diversify from writing and printing to filming and photography. I wish to use this third loan amounting to $450 to buy a professional Camcorder complete with its accessories. I have done my research and established that a quality professional Camcorder costs around $350. I will need to add some amount to the remaining $100 to buy a tripod stand and other important accessories.

I will be able to offer event video coverage service once i have the Camcorder. I live right within Nairobi City where social events are common occurrences every weekend (weddings, parties, sports activities). I have ready clients who are ready to buy my service, which i intend to offer at a very competitive price.

Repaying my loan will not be a problem since i will be able to borrow from my existing writing business should anything go wrong with the new business. I look forward to receiving your support in this regard. Thank you all.
