I Martha Kemunto Ogega i was born in 1965 in Nyaribari Chache Sub-County of Kisii County. I went to school at Kisii Primary School and i procedded to Kereri Girls High school.
I was married in 1982 to my husband David Ogega, we were blessed with four children. We struggled to educate them as life was not simple. unfortunately life changed when my husband died in 2009 while my children were at school.
I struggled until three of them managed to accomplish university education and my last born is currently in form three.
I was first employed before i got sucked from my job. I was so frustrated but i turned my frustration turned to be important when i started my small business of small shop. iwas selling small quantities of food stuff. i traded in this business for many years and i eventually introduced to farming. i grow crops in large scales maize, some seasons beans and keep rotating.
Farming is quite well although there are some challenges of drought, pest and diseases.
but the progress is good,i thank God for this opportunity.
I will buy the following items once i receive the funds,
1. Water storage tank 5000 litres (Top tank) at Usd 280 which is Kes 28,000/-
2. Water gathers pipes at Usd 30 which is kes 3,000/-
3. One pickup of sand ( One ton) at Usd 30 which is Kes 3,000
4. Four bags of cement at Usd 26 which is Kes. 2,600/-
5. The balance i will use to pay wages for masonry
So once i receive the fund i will buy the above mentioned items. The following items will boast my productivity since i will not waste much time looking for water, and during dry spell my hens and cows will benefit a lot.
