About Me

I went to school at mission schools where we were trained to be self reliant and disciplined in life. I took things the way they came and that way I managed to complete my high school and joined a technical teacher training college. I was a teacher for more than ten years before deciding to be on my own.
I can say that I have been blessed because all of my three children have gone through the university and are working.
I love to help the less fortunate in life so that they can have something that they are doing to change their lives for the better.

My Business

I own a metal workshop where I make wrought iron gates, doors, grills and windows which are in great demand due to the construction work going on around my place. I may say that I trained as young boy to do welding and motor vehicle mechanics but I saw that there is less hassle in welding. The business has grown and now I have started a hardware shop for selling the materials that are needed for welding. My customers are the welders who near my location.
I have started repairing angle grinders and arc welding machines which are giving me an extra income.

Loan Proposal

I want to expand my metal workshop by buying and a machine for making steel window hedges which will cost about US$450 and metal plates being the materials where these hedges will be cut, this will cost about US$200 . I will also need about US$ 200 for doing the shed where this work will be done.
This will raise my income by US$100 per month and will enable me to employ one person who will be earning about US$ 80 per month.

First I want to thank all the lenders who believed in me and the zidisha team for giving needy small business entrepreneurs a platform to borrow money for empowering themselves.
I will buy a generator assembly without an engine ,a motor, battery, solar panels, a flywheel, and other items to help me build a system that will generate electricity.

I used the loan to buy assort hollow section metal tubes and plates for my workshop and hardware. The money helped to grow my business such that I was able to open a second shop in the month April. I am hoping to expand the business into a general hardware and all the money I make goes back to business.
