About Me
My name is Jane kuria. I am a mother of two boys named David and Andrew. They are aged 7 and 5 years old respectively. I live in Nyeri county in the middle of Kenya. It is at the slopes of Mt. Kenya. The main economic activity here is farming. There is tea and coffee cash crops too. I come from a family of ten. Parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
My Business
I own a small pub in Karatina in Nyeri town. It is a rural part of the country and the pub does not make much as farmers are busy people. It is a place for farmers to relax after work. Revenue is about US 400 dollars every month. I am also assisting my mother in farming as she is not able now at her age.
Loan Proposal
The pub requires repairs and could do with a little revamping in order to attract the younger customers. The money will be used to redo the seat covers, to repaint and buy pictures. The covers on the table will be changed to match the new seat covers. The hot water kettle also needs replacing. If there is any money left it will be used to add glasses.
