I am a single mother aged 39 years old. I ahve two children who depend on me since they do not have stable jobs. I got my first child at an early age when I was still at primary school. I therefore stayed at home for one and a half years and went back to school thereafter.I continued with my education and managed to join high school. Unfortunately I dropped out of school at form two after an abrupt death of my grand father who was our sole breadwinner. I therefore opted to help my grandmother with home chores as I could not go back to schools as there was no one to pay school fees for me. It reached a point when I could not depend on them any further and I therefore decided to leave the village for greener pastures. I got employed as a house-help for a three(3) years and I managed to save some money and started a green grocer. I was in this business for one year and decided to change to another business. I operate a beauty and cosmetics shop. I deal in both men and ladies products like handbags, belts, earrings, necklaces, shoes, scarfs, socks, trousers e.t.c. There is demand for this product because I sell the products which are on fashion and at a reasonable and affordable prices. I also sell to other traders at wholesale prices and they go to sell to other customers. My customers like my shop because they say the prices are good. they also say that they like my services that is the way i service them. I also give my goods on credit and they do not fail me. my business is situated at a bus stop and therefore I am able to attract many customers. i also send my son to vendor the goods in the nearby estates. He does door to door services and sometimes goes to sell them in the city center and in the offices. some customers who are not able to travel send me to Kampala to bring them their goods and charge them a fee for the services. Zidisha microfinance has been of great help to me and my business.Thank you so much for the previous loans you granted to me .I will use 90,000 kenya shillings to stock my business,30,000 kenya shillings will be used to renovate my shop and 20,000 for decorations as we are heading Decembers holidays.I will use the other part of the loan in paying the rent for the shop 20,000 kenya shillings and to my residential house which i pay 12,000 kenya shillings.I will also hold a small party of my customers as a way of appreciating them.The party will cost me about 30,000 kenya shillings.I will spend 30,000 kenya shillings to pay for my personal needs.Thank you zidisha for the support you have been giving me.I promise to be repaying my next loan promptly and without fail.Thank you my lenders.You have made me what i am today.FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING.GOD BLESS YOU
